How to Make a Makeup Table with a Mirror

A makeup table is a great addition to any dressing room, bathroom or bedroom. It'll let you keep your makeup nicely organized and give you your own space when getting ready in the morning. Creating your own makeup table is also a good beginning woodworking project. In a few hours and using simple materials and power tools, you can make your own makeup table. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1
    Figure 1

Cut the plywood into five pieces as shown in Figure 1.

    2

Sand and stain all your pieces.

    3

Line up the back and side panels and screw them in as shown in Figure 2.

    4

Screw the top and bottom panels to the back and side panels you put together. See Figure 3.

    5

Saw the 2x4 beam into four 36-inch pieces and stain or paint them. Allow them to dry before the next step.

    6

Screw the four beams to each corner of the table using the table leg brackets. See the Resources below for some table leg bracket examples.

    7

Center the mirror along the length of the table.

    8

Use flat L-shaped brackets to connect the mirror to the table you just built. Line up and screw the vertical part of the bracket along the side of the mirror, screw the horizontal part of the angle to the table. Do this for both sides of the mirror.
