The Best Laptop Mounts

Drivers have found that a laptop is often needed in a vehicle. A laptop can suffice instead of a GPS system and phone calls can be made over the Internet or by VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). Laptop mounts are available as stands that screw into the floor and as portable desks that mount onto the passenger seat.

RAM Mounts

RAM Mounts has a universal mounting system that can fit into just about any vehicle. It has a pole that telescopes, a 6-inch arm that swings and a standard laptop holder. It attaches to the floor by use of a square base.

RAM Mounts No-Drill Laptop Computer Mount

RAM Mounts has a laptop mount that does not require any drilling for installation. It uses the hardware from the rails on the passengers side seat. The pole telescopes vertically, and the unit has a double swing arm to make horizontal adjustments. The tray holds laptops up to 17 inches wide. The tray has drill holes for mounting a GPS or cell phone.

Jeniko CFL-1000

The Jeniko CFL-1000 mounts to the floor and is removable just by removing one knob. The arm rotates 360 degrees and can be locked into position. The base telescopes to adjust to the needed height, and the tray tilts to adjust to the user.

Jeniko CFL-800

The Jeniko CFL-800 is a less expensive version of the CFL-1000. It too has an arm that rotates 360 degrees and can be locked into position. However, the telescoping base does not adjust as high as the CFL-1000. The tray tilts for ergonomic use on this model as well as the CFL-1000.

Jeniko CSM-2115

A more expensive Jeniko model is the CSM-2115. The height adjusts as high as 28 inches, and the arm rotates 360 degrees. This unit mounts to the bolts of the passenger seat. The base adjusts to a flat or angled position. The laptop tray tilts for ease of use.

Bracketron Laptop Mount

The Bracketron Laptop Mount is a portable desk mount that is attached to the bolt on the side of the passengers seat. The fittings work with the seat bolts in a vertical or horizontal position. The mount can be quickly removed or folded and placed on the floor. The lower arm adjusts in height and position for ease of use. The deck has a control lever that can be manipulated with one hand.
