How to Mount a Mouse Tray

Mouse trays extend from your desk. The trays often swivel from the table so that you don't need to extend your arm over a table to use the mouse. Mount the mouse tray correctly so that it works properly and is stable. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Position the mouse tray next to your desk so that it's in a comfortable area. Do this while sitting in your office chair to ensure it's comfortable. Mark the area where the mounting bracket hits the underside of the desk. Most mouse trays mount to the underside of a desk.

    2

Position the mounting bracket under the desk where you made the mark.

    3

Hold the mounting bracket in one hand while screwing a wood screw into one of the four holes on the bracket. Tighten the screws against the bracket, but don't tighten the screws completely.

    4

Screw the wood screw through the hole in the mounting bracket that's diagonal from the first screw. Repeat this process with the other two screws. Tighten them slightly against the mounting bracket.

    5

Use the mouse tray to make sure it's in the right place.

    6

Tighten the screws completely until the mounting bracket and the mouse tray are secure.
